From ships' stores to a card room
Two years of work, a crew of four, and a simple idea: you can eat well and play cards in the same room without either getting in the way.

What we found when we opened the walls
Under the lining boards there was blackbutt flooring and a mezzanine nobody had used since the eighties. Both stayed.
The store area at the back became the card room: no windows to the street, so no traffic noise and no glare on the felt.
The rest followed — a six-metre kitchen, a bar built from the old counter, and twenty-four covers out front. Not one more.

What we stand by
Three things we hold to
- A game stays a game: no stake, no prize, no pressure and no tab to settle.
- The kitchen follows the boats. If the fish did not come in, the dish comes off the board.
- Nobody drives home after a big night without us offering a cab first.
